LYONS, IL – Beyond Words Dance Company brings iconic novels and beloved children’s books to life through the innovative and stunning choreography of Kate Jablonski in their Spring Showcase, Cover to Cover. Performances will be held at Foundations Performance Center in Lyons on June 19, 20, & 21 at 7:00pm, and on June 22 at 3:00pm. Tickets are available at


In Act I, Cover to Cover takes you on an exciting journey through a collection of classic stories. Act II features Beyond Words’ award-winning 2013-2014 competition repertoire, including In This Shirt, winner of the PULSE Choreographer’s Pick and Best of JUMP awards. “This is a show you don’t want to miss,” said John Schmitz, artistic director of Dance Chicago, “Last year’s showcase was absolutely fantastic! I loved it and was inspired by it!”


Kate Jablonski, owner and choreographer of Beyond Words, is fast becoming one of the worlds’ most sought after choreographers and instructors. Her YouTube channel, which features many of her most important dances, has amassed over 19 million views and more than 50,000 subscribers across the globe. Adding to the landscape of other great Chicago-area dance companies, Jablonski brings a youthful, whimsical energy with a mature creativity and detailed excellence that are beyond her years.

Beyond Words Dance Company: Under the artistic leadership of Kate Jablonski, BWDC was established in 2009 to provide talented and flourishing young dancers aged 10-18 with a positive outlet for expression. Company members train in the disciplines of ballet, jazz, lyrical, and contemporary, and are taught life lessons of commitment, responsibility, and work ethic through the art of dance. Kate Jablonski: Owner and artistic director of Beyond Words Dance Company and The Kate Jablonski Statement, Jablonski has taught and choreographed internationally and has earned a reputation as a dynamic new force in the world of contemporary dance. Her work has received many awards, including the prestigious Leo’s Gold Choreography Award at the 2009 Jazz World Congress (she also received the Solver Leo’s Award in 2007). As a finalist for the 2009 Capezio A.C.E. Award for Choreographic Excellence, she debuted her professional dance production “Beyond Words” in July 2010 at the New World Stages in Manhattan. In January 2013, Jablonski was awarded Dance Chicago’s “Choreographer of the Year.” Jablonski recently choreographed the music video “I Was Just a Card” by Laura Marling, EMI/Virgin Records recording star. Foundations Performance Center (FPC): FPC is a state of the art facility that provides a safe learning environment for dancers of all ages and levels. This 6200-sqare-foot center is equipped with a comfortable waiting area, an onsite dance apparel store, and a built-in theater that seats up to 300. FPC is the home of Beyond Words Dance Company, The Kate Jablonski Statement, Expression Dance Company, and Miss Mickey’s Dancers.
